A popular session for several years in a row now - in this session we will explore best practices for how to deal with complaints and bad attitudes, conflict resolution tips and tricks, and what to say during those difficult conversations. This year's session will have a lot of examples/scenarios (#askingforafriend) for us to pick apart and discuss collectively too!

Building the bench (succession planning) - looking at how best to grow your staff. From professional development to goal development, how do we engage our staff in ways that not only grow them as employees but as future leaders as well.

In this session we will take a deep dive into all things discipline and investigations. From how to conduct an investigation through termination, including templates for letters and board motions as well as how to navigate the politics in a district during an investigation. Whether you are newer to school HR or a seasoned veteran, there will be a little bit of something in this session for everyone.
